Lincoln-based Nexon group has taken delivery of a pair of Iveco S-Way rigid trucks.

The new additions will predominantly be used on nationwide deliveries of cleaning and hygiene products.

Specifically, the two trucks are 19-tonne 4×2 rigid AT190S33/P vehicles.

In addition, they were among the first batch of rigid Iveco S-Ways to reach UK customers.

Also, they feature a 28ft Dependable Bodies box body with a 1.5t Dhollandia column tail lift.

Both of the vehicles boast a medium-high roof AT sleeper cab.

In other words, the cab is in a mid-range one, which is slightly lower than the largest and 200mm narrower at 2.3m wide.

As a result, it is easier to climb in and out of on multi-drop routes.

Furthermore, it is more suited to urban driving with a lower line-of-sight and smaller overall footprint.

Design-wise, the AT cab is clearly identifiable as an Iveco S-Way.

For example, it features prominent ‘hips’, which step out below the cab and help with space for entry/exit steps.

Meanwhile, the interior houses a symmetrical dashboard shape creates an open walk-through interior living space.

In addition, there is a standard-fit three-piece single bunk, which features a liftable middle section.

Importantly, Nexon Group has supplemented this with a number of options to aid driver comfort.

For example, there is an independent night heater and electric roof hatch.

Futrthermore, the trucks have been upgraded to include a 25-litre fridge instead of the standard cool box.

“Payload was our primary driver towards Iveco,” commented Stephen Green, operations director, Nexon Group.

Continuing, he also highlighted favourable running costs as another reason for going to Iveco.

“With a model at every weight, it made sense to build our fleet around the same brand and now we run 16 Iveco vehicles,” he confirmed.
