Upgraded Renault models have arrived, after the French manufacturer presented the Range T, T High, C and K Evolution ranges.

An online presentation detailed the changes to the existing lineup of heavy duty trucks.

In addition, it featured testimonials of the vehicles from drivers and operators.

Bruno Blin, president of Renault Trucks emphasised the importance of customer feedback.

“You are our key concern and that’s why we listen to you and find out what matters to you,” he said.

For example, he cited better fuel economy and improved vehicle uptime as two key demands of truck drivers.

Therefore, these issues have been addressed with the upgraded Renault models.

Paul Daintree, design director at Renault Trucks, confirmed that feedback had been essential to the new truck’s development.

“It’s crucial for designers to put the end user at the centre of their thinking and decision-making,” he stated.

“We organised work sessions with our customers in the design studio and visited truck stops and customer depots to meet hauliers and drivers.

As a result, Daintree said, Renault could better understand specific needs.

In fact, this field work by the design teams, formed the basis for changes to the vehicles in terms of style and comfort.

Inside the cab, drivers get higher quality materials and keyless start.

The upgraded Renault models also boast a new three-way adjustable steering column with foot operation.

In addition, there are bigger stowage and dedicated places for smartphone or tablet storage, with USB charging points.

The upgraded Renault models will arrive in the UK in September.

Drivers and operators will then have the opportunity to discover what they have to offer.

Finally, life on board the truck has been made easier with thicker and more dense mattresses.
