Motus Truck & Van has opened a flagship service and parts centre in Witham, Essex.
The state-of-the-art facility will cater to Mercedes-Benz and FUSO commercial vehicles.
Importantly, the centre is located alongside the A12 trunk road between Chelmsford and Colchester.
As a result, is cater to drivers who work in and out of the docks at Felixstowe and Harwich.
The new service and parts facility is now open from 6am on Mondays until 10pm on Fridays.
In addition, it will be open on Saturday mornings to customers.
Crucially, the three-acre site offers ample space for drivers to manoeuvre and park their vehicles.
There are comfortable rest and meeting areas housed within the building.
Meanwhile, the 700m2 parts department carries broad and deep stocks of Mercedes-Benz genuine parts.
However, the heart of the service and parts centre is the workshop.
In total, there are nine full-length truck and trailer bays – three of which have 22-metre pits.
Furthermore, there are an additional eight set aside for van maintenance and repairs.
An Authorised Testing Facility has also been established for DVSA inspectors to carry out truck MOTs
The MD of Motus Truck & Van, Lee Seward, spoke about the journey of the build.
“We began construction work just under a year ago, but this project has been a lot longer in the planning,” he said.
“Therefore, we’re delighted to be welcoming our guests and to give them an opportunity to see[our] flagship development.”
Meanwhile Mark Williams from Mercedes-Benz Trucks liked what he saw.
