Loughborough University, on behalf of the Department for Transport, is asking HGV drivers to share their real-world experience of Vulnerable Road User (VRU) detection systems.
This research matters. The findings will help inform the future development of international vehicle safety regulations and how these technologies can better protect pedestrians and cyclists while working effectively for drivers and operators.
At the RHA, we consistently make the case that good policy and regulation must be built on evidence and the practical experience of our industry.
So my call to action is simple: if you are eligible, please complete the survey and have your say.
It is open to drivers aged 18+ holding a C1 (including C1+E), C or C+E licence.
