Renault Trucks has showcased a number of new vehicles aimed at the multi-stop urban vehicle sector. The new 26-tonne E-Tech D Wide 6×2 low-entry cab has a bus-style folding door and low step, equipped with full air suspension front and kneel function to further lower the height.

The same vehicle is available with a conventional outwards opening door. They are built on a 3,900 wheelbase and mounted with Dennis Eagle Olympus 21W body and Terberg OmniDEL Xtra Low Level Split Automatic Bin Lift and powered by Renault Trucks’ latest 375 kWh E-Tech traction batteries with four battery packs of 94 kW each located in the wheelbase, and twin motors delivering 260 kW continuous and 370 kW peak, with 850 Nm torque.

The manufacturer also released details of an 18 tonne Renault Trucks E-Tech D 4×2 built on a 3,900mm wheelbase and mounted with Hyva 2012XL skip loader body.  Powered by 265 kWh traction batteries with four battery packs of 66 kW, and charging from 22 kW to 150 kW it features reduction gearbox with two forward speeds and one reverse, and a single reduction final drive axle with integral differential lock for greater traction on challenging terrain.
