Pudsey Plant Hire has announced the addition of the first Renault truck to its skip hire fleet.

The West Yorkshire-based operator was helped with the acquisition by JDS Truck and Van.

Specifically, the D18 High 4×2 with day cab is fitted with key components for its environment.

For example, the new Pudsey Plant Hire truck features Harsh HS14T 2019 skip loader equipment.

In addition, the truck boasts remote control and a Skip N Go electric operation sheeting system.

The new D18 has been purchased for skip hire work across Leeds and the surrounding areas

Also, it will be used to meet demand for garden spring cleans for private and building clients over Easter.

Pudsey Plant Hire owner, Paul Vipond, explained the decision for going to Renault.

“When our previous manufacturer significantly increased their prices twice in the space of three months, I decided to shop around.

“After another skip hire company recommended Renault Trucks to me, I contacted JDS Trucks in Leeds.

“And, since arranging the purchase of the new D18, we haven’t looked back.”

Vipond said the D18 High had everything he was looking for.

“For example, the quality and specification, its looks, the back-up support, and maintenance.

“The whole sale process, from first meeting to delivery, has been faultless.”

Meanwhile Pudsey Plant Hire has also taken out Renault Trucks’ finance and a maintenance contract with JDS.

The new truck is fitted with the Optitronic 6AS 1000 automated gearbox and clutch.

Furthermore, it offers enhanced safety features.

For example, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Control and Emergency Brake Assist.

For driver comfort, Vipond specified optional extras including air-suspended comfort driver’s seat with heated base and lumbar support.

“After a few hours behind the wheel of the D18, our driver has now been converted to Renault Trucks,” said Vipond.
