Norfolk hooks up for new contractNorse Commercial Services subsidiary Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) has taken delivery of six Boughton hook-loader equipped Volvo FM eight-wheelers to assist with the servicing of 19 Household Waste Recycling Centres within Norfolk, under contract with Norfolk County Council. A further two Boughton close-coupled trailers have also been purchased to further improve the efficiency of the fleet within the new contract.

The Boughton hook-loader systems feature the company’s Kwikova automatic container sheeting system, rear combi-locks, rear axle stabilisers and VBG couplings. The Boughton tri-axle close-coupled trailers feature a retractable drawbar and hydraulic legs and locks.

The new Volvo FM chassis are rated for operation at 32 tonnes gvw and 44 tonnes gtw.
