Renault Trucks UK Ltd is launching two exclusive free packages on all new range orders placed before December 31 this year in a move the French manufacturer hopes will draw more operators to its fuel-efficient Euro 6 trucks.
On offer is the UK Fuel Eco Pack, designed to help operators achieve greater fuel efficiency from Renault vehicles; and the Simplicity Pack, comprising a two-year service and inspection or repair and maintenance contract (depending on the model).
Renault said both packs have been developed to add further value to its ‘total cost of ownership’ approach, helping hauliers to maximise uptime, productivity and profitability over the life of the vehicle.
“We are confident our new vehicle line-up has been engineered to provide maximum efficiency and productivity for our operators,” said commercial director Nigel Butler. “The introductions of the Fuel Eco and Simplicity packages are our way of providing an even better service to our operators, with tools and offers that will help ensure optimum performance.”
The UK Fuel Eco Pack comprises three key elements to drive further fuel savings. Firstly, the pack includes five months’ free trial of Optifleet, Renault’s telematics solution. All medium- and heavy-duty vehicles in the new range are pre-equipped with the appropriate telematics gateway for quick and easy activation at delivery. Full training on the use of the system is included.
Secondly, the Fuel Eco Pack includes Renault’s one-day Optifuel driver training course. In addition to providing advice and guidance in rational driving for optimal fuel efficiency and safety, the course counts as seven hours towards DCPC.
Thirdly, the Fuel Eco Pack includes a specific bundle of features identified to give further fuel saving benefits. These include Renault’s Softcruise and Ecoroll systems, an optimised gearshift pattern, engine idle shutdown, a clutchable compressor and a variable-flow power steering pump.
With the Simplicity Pack, Renault is offering operators either a free two-year service and inspection deal on all new heavy rigids, or a free two-year repair and maintenance contract on all new tractors.
The two new packages will be available on all new heavy D distribution, T long-haul and C and K construction truck orders placed before the end of the year.
