Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC) UK Limited has expanded its fleet with 19 moving deck double deck trailers and two single deck box vans from Tiger Trailers. This marks the first Tiger-manufactured vehicles in FBC’s fleet, featuring full-wrap liveries of iconic brands such as Maryland Cookies, Jammie Dodgers, and Party Rings.

Enhanced Capacity and Efficiency

Designed with Tiger’s four-ram hydraulic lifting system, the double deck trailers maximise efficiency, accommodating up to 52 UK pallets per load. The wedge-shaped design improves aerodynamics, reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Danny Hobkirk, Fleet Transport Operations Manager for FBC, stated: “Everyone across our business is excited to see these first Tiger trailers join our fleet. They look stunning with some of the nation’s most-loved biscuit brands on them. Tiger’s team worked closely with us throughout development, ensuring the new vehicles meet our operational needs.”

Safety-Focused Design

Safety was a priority in the trailer specifications. Features include Safe Parking systems from Haldex and Maple, a ground-level sliding coupling, an upgraded tow-guard with an over-centre locking handle, and a wanderlead for remote deck operation. Additional lighting and a cyclist warning lamp further enhance road safety.

Thomas Stott, Key Account Manager at Tiger Trailers, commented: “It’s been a pleasure collaborating with FBC’s logistics team. These trailers demonstrate our commitment to quality and safety. Seeing them on the road delivering well-loved biscuits is a great achievement.”

Operating from FBC’s sites in Batley, West Yorkshire, and Kirkham, Lancashire, the new trailers will support nationwide biscuit distribution.
