ITT Hub returns this week and DAF Trucks is promising plenty to see for punters.
For example, the manufacturer will showcase a wide range of electric and diesel-powered models.
In addition, visitors to the Farnborough event will have the opportunity to drive DAF products.
Specifically, the XF and XG will be offered for test drives around a set route.
Last year, DAF Trucks introduced its new generation of trucks at ITT Hub.
Subsequently, the range went on to be crowned International Truck of the Year 2022.
However, much of the focus this time around will be on battery powered vehicles.
For example, there will be a zero-emission 19-tonne DAF LF Electric on the company’s stand.
The LF Electric also debuted in 2021, alongside the larger CF Electric 37-tonne 4×2 tractor.
Importantly, the LF Electric and its box body are both built at DAF’s Leyland Trucks facility.
Meanwhile, HVO-fuelled DAFs will also be present.
The DAF stand will host an XG 480 FTG 6×2 tractor – fully laden to 44-tonnes.
The truck, complete with 12.9-litre PACCAR MX-13 engine will also be available to drive.
Interestingly, DAF Trucks has seen more operators turning to the environmentally friendly fuel.
For example, JSP Hauliers is just one company seeing the benefits.
Elsewhere, charging solutions will also be showcased at ITT Hub.
Therefore, the company’s stand will feature a PACCAR charging unit.
The system is one part of a full range of charging options, from 20kW to 350kW for both AC and DC charging.
In addition, experts from DAF will also be on hand to answer any questions from ITT Hub attendees.
Finally, there will be DAF customer vehicles on display elsewhere at the show.
For example, Solomon Commercials is exhibiting an LF Electric and displaying its latest bodywork with Frigoblock equipment.
