Any truck driver who fancies a cuppa and a mince pie, can now get one for free, thanks to DAF Trucks.
It is the third time the offer has been put in place around Christmas and it is welcomed by drivers.
The festive free cuppa offer is being promoted on DAF’s social media channels.
In addition, flyers and advertising are running at the sites.
Therefore, drivers can claim a free drink and snack from one of eight UK Truckstops .
For example, the offer applies at Avon Lodge Truckstop, Avonmouth, Junction 29 Truckstop, Chesterfield and Lymm Truckwash.
In addition, Roadking, Cannock, Ashford International Truckstop and Chippenham Pitstop are also involved.
Finally, Ulceby Truckstop, Immingham and Lockerbie Lorry Park have also signed up to the offer.
A positive response from during previous free cuppa giveaways has encouraged DAF Trucks to offer its support once more.
The initiative comes at a time when the UK once again faces a period of uncertainty.
Specifically, the COVID-19 pandemic continues, which means the job of truck drivers is more important than ever.
Meanwhile, DAF Trucks has created a Christmas choir.
The group is made up of DAF employees, drivers and those from the dealer network.
It has released ‘Trucking Home for Christmas’; a cover version of the song by Chris Rea.
Importantly, the song supports The Drivers Fund.
This not-for-profit organisation supporting drivers and their families who are facing financial difficulties.
Furthermore, the video is already attracting a fantastic response on DAF Trucks’ YouTube channel.
DAF markering manager, Phil Moon, was very impressed with the choir and their dedication to the cause.
“They can really sing!,” he said.
“Hopefully, ‘Trucking Home for Christmas’ will raise much-needed money for The Drivers Fund and to provide vital support at this festive time of year.”
