RGVA, the vehicle branding specialist offering a range of Vehicle Livery Solutions, has achieved a significant milestone with Johnsons Hotel, Restaurant & Catering Linen. The company has now completed 232 vinyl wraps for the linen and laundry specialist.
The partnership, which began in 2017, includes vehicles ranging from 3.5-tonne MAN panel vans to 26-tonne DAF rigids. The latest project involved 53 DAF, Mercedes-Benz, and Isuzu 7.5-tonne trucks. High-performance vinyl materials, including 3M ij280 for cabs and Arlon 4550gtx for truck box surfaces, ensure the durability and precision of the wraps.
Phil Martin, Shaftsbury Transport Manager at Johnsons, praised RGVA’s work: “The quality of the work is always excellent. We’ve had no issues with peeling, unlike with a previous supplier. Watching the team work is fascinating—they ensure every detail is perfect, even on the trickiest parts of the trucks.”
Efficient Process and Longevity
Johnsons collaborates closely with RGVA Vehicle Livery Solutions to approve vehicle artwork during builds. Wraps are applied either at RGVA’s Maidstone base or directly at the vehicle bodybuilders, ensuring readiness for immediate use. The average turnaround from order to completion is just two weeks.
Each wrap lasts as long as the vehicle remains in service, typically three to eight years. Johnsons’ fleet includes 3.5-tonne vans, which make up over half of its 370-strong fleet and handle demanding workloads with annual mileages averaging 75,000.
In 2022, Johnsons simplified its branding, enabling vehicles to operate across all divisions seamlessly. This streamlined approach supports both efficiency and versatility.
