Customers can now put their name down in the order books for the Renault Trucks E-Tech T and C models.

Pre-orders are open for the vehicles, which are dedicated to regional transport and urban construction respectively.

Renault Trucks is committed to a battery powered, therefore, these vehicles will appeal to many truck fleets looking to do the same.

The new 44-tonne electric trucks will be produced at the manufacturer’s factory in Bourg-en-Bresse.

In other words, hauliers wishing to get in early can reserve the first manufacturing slots.

Production both models is due to start at the end of 2023 at the French facility.

To meet requirements of both industries, the E-Tech T and C can be tailored to operator needs.

For example, both trucks can be ordered with two or three electric motors, providing a combined power of up to 490kW.

In addition, a wide choice of traction batteries is available.

Four to six lithium-ion battery packs can be fitted to the vehicles, offering power outputs from 390 to 540kWh.

The batteries can be fully recharged up to 43kW by AC, or up to 250kW by DC.

As a result, they will be able to cover up to 300km on a single charge.

Furthermore, with the addition of a one-hour intermediate fast charge (at 250kW), 500km are possible.

The order books for E-Tech T and C will enable customers to order 4×2 and 6×2 tractor units.

The 44-tonne trucks feature a sleeper cab as well as a wheelbase of 3,900mm.

Meanwhile, the rigid version is offered in 4×2, 6×2 and 8×4 tridem configurations.

Here, drivers choose from day or sleeper cabs and 11 wheelbases, ranging from 3,900 to 6,700mm.

Finally, to benefit operators, both trucks work with Optifleet.

The fleet management system enables energy to be optimised through real-time monitoring.
