The Pall-Ex Group, a leading presence in the UK’s palletised freight distribution industry, has announced the launch of Pall-Ex Logistics. This new brand consolidates several previously independent operations into a full-service logistics provider.
Pall-Ex Logistics brings together the Group’s five owned sites across Northampton, Essex, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall, and Surrey, along with its recently established third-party logistics (3PL) division. This strategic move aims to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by offering various logistics services.
Beyond their existing responsibilities within the pallet network, the sites under Pall-Ex Logistics will now offer bonded warehousing, both long-term and short-term storage, general haulage, and container decanting. In addition, Pall-Ex Logistics has partnered with several of the Group’s UK shareholder members, creating a nationwide warehouse and fulfilment network capable of storing over 300,000 pallets, with further expansions expected.
Colin Hawkins, Director of UK-owned operations at Pall-Ex, expressed enthusiasm for the new venture, stating, “We’re excited to elevate our operations and provide a full-service solution to our customers.”
The flagship warehouse, which spans 75,000 square feet and can hold 7,000 pallets, exemplifies Pall-Ex’s commitment to advancing logistics excellence.
Managing Director of UK Business Units Barry Byers highlighted the brand’s focus on supporting SMEs nationwide, leveraging market-leading IT systems and a two-hour ETA window to deliver comprehensive freight solutions.
Pall-Ex Logistics officially launched on 1st August, with branding and livery updates being rolled out throughout the month.
