H B Clark is a wholesale supplier of beverages with a fleet of 41 vehicles. It has recently taken delivery of a New Generation DAF XF tractor unit and three DAF LF curtainsiders making their fleet 100% DAF.

These new trucks, from North West Trucks Huyton, were the first of a batch of ten vehicles acquired to replenish and expand their fleet. The total order is for eight new DAF LF 16t 4×2, one DAF LF 12t 4×2 curtainsiders and a New Generation DAF XF 480 FTG 6×2 tractor unit.

Founded by Henry Boon Clark and family-owned since its 1906, H B Clark is now part of the Kitwave group and operates from eight depots throughout the North of England.

Their DAF LF 16t 4×2 curtainsider was completed in conjunction with Tekbo Ltd in Glasgow who built a 6415mm long body with branded livery featuring brands supplied by H B Clark. The body included a bespoke load restraint system engineered by Tekbo to H B Clarks own specification.

The New Generation DAF XF, features a high roof sleeper cab painted in H B Clark colours, kerb view window in passenger door, DAF digital vision system, automatic climate control, the DAF infotainment system, wireless phone charging, luxury driver’s seat, cinema passenger seat with table, alcoa dura bright alloy wheels, twin fuel tanks and extra-long catwalk and step.

Darren Williams continued: “The overall cost, fuel efficiency and overall reliability meant the New Generation DAF was an obvious choice. Our New Generation DAF XF has been specified with a range of options to ensure ultimate comfort to retain our drivers. Whilst we still operate a majority LF fleet as an optimum solution for our town deliveries due to the urban cab and drivability, our New Generation DAF provides the next level for our transportation needs.
