Moran Logistics has strengthened its fleet with 20 new Renault Trucks T 6x2s, marking the first Renault vehicles to join the Castle Donington-based operator’s growing portfolio. The trucks were supplied by RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), with sales executive Thomas Hanson overseeing the deal.
Mark Burrell, CEO of Moran Logistics, explained the decision: “We wanted to build a partnership with a supplier that will support our business and Aftersales needs and provide a personal response. RHCV & Renault Trucks take accountability to keep vehicles on the road, enabling us to maintain the high service levels we expect and our customers demand.”
The new Renault Trucks T 6×2 480s are powered by 13-litre Euro 6 engines, delivering 480hp and 2400Nm of torque. Driver comfort has been prioritised with heated and ventilated “COMFORT” seats featuring adjustable lumbar support. Electrical facilities for appliances and a 24-litre refrigerator enhance in-cab convenience for long-haul journeys.
Burrell highlighted the positive response from drivers: “The drivers find them incredibly comfortable and reliable. The team at RHCV has been very supportive, providing training sessions to help our drivers maximise the trucks’ features.”
Safety and environmental considerations were also key factors in the acquisition, with Moran Logistics’ quality and environmental team assessing vehicle suitability. Burrell added: “Effective safety features enhance the well-being of other road users and allow our drivers to be confident when on the road.”
RHCV’s support throughout the process was praised, with Burrell commending Paul Pearson and Thomas Hanson for their attentiveness.
The 20 new Renaults are part of Moran Logistics’ fleet expansion strategy, aligning with the company’s five-year vehicle replacement programme.
