Llandaff Laminates, based in Cardiff, has added its first Isuzu truck to its fleet, prioritising efficiency in customer deliveries. The new Isuzu N75.190, purchased from Commercial Motors (Wales), boasts a three-tonne payload capacity and a compact design that delivers superior manoeuvrability.
Mark Phillips, Managing Director at Llandaff Laminates, said: “We explored every avenue before opting for Isuzu. Its impressive payload capacity, combined with its compact size and great manoeuvrability, made it an easy choice. Commercial Motors also delivered the vehicle quickly, making the transition seamless.”
The new 4×2 rigid replaces a larger 7.5-tonne vehicle in Llandaff Laminates’ eight-strong mixed fleet. Mounted with a bespoke curtainside body from CTB Commercial Bodies, the truck has been tailored to accommodate large, heavy furniture boards, worktops, and kitchen appliances.
“This is the first time we’ve been able to specify the body design from scratch,” added Phillips. “It has allowed us to maximise space while ensuring we can still carry our full range of products.”
The truck features internal racking and anchor points for secure transit and is backed by a three-year unlimited mileage warranty. It also includes 24/7 roadside assistance and access to Isuzu Truck UK’s Customer CARE team.
Operating five days a week, the Isuzu N75.190 is expected to serve the business for up to seven years. As Llandaff Laminates continues to re-shape its fleet, Phillips hinted that Isuzu will likely remain a preferred choice.
