A huge order has been placed by PT Hire with MAN Truck & Bus.
The truck rental company acquired 280 units in total.
Specifically, there are 205 TGX 26.510 6×2 tractor units.
In addition, the huge order includes 75 used units.
As a result, PT Hire’s fleet now features more than 700 vehicles.
Therefore, it ensures continuity of the company’s ‘flexible truck rental packages’.
Stuart Dytham, CEO and chairman, explained the reasoning behind the huge order.
“Over the years we’ve offered our customers MAN trucks simply because of the reliability and efficiencies they offer,” he said.
“The new generation MAN trucks receive rave reviews from operators.
“Therefore, during conversations and regular feedback sessions we hear how good both MPG and driver acceptance is.
“These are both areas which directly impact a business on a daily basis.”
Continuing, Dytham said a fresh fleet was “key to us meeting the needs of our growing customer base”.
“We offer a nationwide service to our customers,” he added.
“And, at all times, we feel we have the focussed support of the MAN.
The first five new vehicles arrived at the start of April.
“Following preparation and PDI at MAN franchised partner DSV Commercials, they have already gone out to PT Hire customers.
The 205 new vehicles will all feature the TGX’s range topping GX cabs.
In addition they will be powered by MAN’s six-cylinder D26 510hp 12.4 litre, Euro 6 step E engines.
Meanwhile, the trucks also feature a host of advanced safety systems.
For example, emergency brake assist and anti-slip regulation come as standard.
Furthermore they boast a lane guard system and an electronic parking brake.
Finally, the 75 MAN TopUsed vehicles are a mix of tractors.
The lineup includes late MY2019 460hp and 500hp models and New Generation 510hp 26.510s.
