Kings Heavy Haulage, based in Bristol, has seen a productivity boost of up to 15% with its new digital Fleet Management Technology. This improvement is equivalent to gaining three extra working days each month. The enhancements come from integrating Webfleet, Bridgestone’s fleet management platform, with Eurora Group’s Cyrus transport management software (TMS).

James Hallier, General Manager at Kings Heavy Haulage, highlighted the benefits: “Streamlining our processes with Webfleet has revolutionised our business operations. Features such as remote tachograph downloads, dynamic ETAs, and tailored navigation have elevated service quality and efficiency.”

The Fleet Management Technology system includes PRO 8 devices, offering truck-specific navigation and automated vehicle inspection reporting. These tools simplify defect reporting and enhance repair response times, contributing to a safer, more compliant fleet.

“Safety is central to everything we do,” Hallier added. “Guided navigation helps us avoid risks like bridge strikes while maintaining compliance seamlessly.”

Integration and Sustainability

Webfleet’s integration with Kings’ transport and maintenance systems, delivered by MG Fleet, has improved real-time ETAs, geofencing, and customer communication. The solution also supports sustainability by monitoring fuel usage and tracking the company’s carbon footprint.

Neil Gittins, Director of MG Fleet, remarked: “Integrating fleet management solutions with cutting-edge transport software has been key to delivering these results. It’s a great example of technology driving productivity and reliability.”

By enhancing compliance, efficiency, and customer communication, Kings Heavy Haulage is better equipped to handle the demands of the haulage sector.
