Buying used trucks can, for some people, be a time-consuming a stressful process.
However, Volvo Trucks has launched a platform that is designed to make the process easier for its European customers.
The solution is a single website – www.VolvoSelected.com – which is operated by Volvo Trucks, which arranges international deliveries.
Importantly, in addition to the trucks themselves, other elements are catered to on the new website.
For example, customers can organise driveline coverage, service contracts and the right finance deal for their needs.
Volvo Trucks says that it sells between 15,000 and 20,000 used trucks a year.
With the new website, buying used trucks online will make the process more sustainable and tailored to customer requirements.
Volvo Selected will initially be available in Europe in 20 languages.
Furthermore, it is equipped with search filters to match the truck buyer’s needs.
Therefore, customers can specify vehicle type and axle configuration to help find the right truck to grow their business.
Micke Rydbeck, director, used trucks at Volvo Trucks was quick to point out benefits of the new website.
He said that customers can save time and also deal with a supplier who knows the vehicles inside out.
“The trucks can be made available for pickup from the nearest Volvo Trucks dealership or delivered directly to customers.”
Meanwhile, Rydbeck confirmed that truck buyers are covered on many service contracts.
“By using Volvo Selected Pro buyers also get an international 12-month driveline coverage, service documentation and guarantees that verify the age and mileage.”
In addition, finance solutions for the trucks can also be arranged via an integrated finance calculator.
The tool allows Volvo Selected platform customers to calculate estimated monthly payments based on current interest rates.
