Pall-Ex Group has reported it experienced considerable growth across its entire European palletised freight network during 2013.
The network’s most recent figures show an overall pallet volume increase of 22 per cent between January and December last year across the Group, which is currently made up of six active networks: Pall-Ex UK, Pall-Ex Italia, Pall-Ex Iberia, Pall-Ex Romania, Pall-Ex France and Pall-Ex Polska.
“These results show we are offering a cost-effective, reliable way of moving palletised freight across Europe,” said Pall-Ex Group’s managing director, Adrian Russell. “There is confidence in the pallet network model that stretches from our members through to their customers, and we firmly believe this will facilitate even further growth in 2014.
“As we look to increase our number of European networks over the coming months, international freight volumes will increase throughout our current active networks, bringing further growth and opportunities,” Russell added.
The Group-wide figures come as Pall-Ex’s European networks begin to reveal their individual results for 2013. The first to do so is Pall-Ex Iberia, which operates across mainland Spain, Portugal and the Balearics. Pall-Ex Iberia closed 2013 with a turnover increase of 50 per cent, with membership up 20 per cent. “There is a great appetite for the transportation of palletised goods in Spain and Portugal,” said Pall-Ex Iberia MD, Enric Estruch.
