The Delivery Group has expanded its fleet with 20 new Tiger Trailers, custom-designed to meet the demands of its evolving operations. The order includes 10 curtainsiders with tuckaway tail-lifts and 10 moving double-deck box vans.
This latest partnership builds on a five-year relationship between the companies. Tiger Trailers first supplied 17 double-deck trailers to The Delivery Group in 2019. The new designs reflect input from The Delivery Group’s operations team, focusing on durability, usability, and flexibility.
Martin Johnson, Operations Director at The Delivery Group, explained: “Our bespoke operation requires flexibility, strength, and reliability to meet client needs. This latest purchase from Tiger allowed us to design a trailer that caters to our operational needs perfectly. The collaborative approach challenged our ideas and delivered a trailer that ticks every box.”
The trailers feature reinforced rear frames and sides, a 12-tonne moving deck, and a false bulkhead to optimise loading. Advanced safety systems include electronically controlled hydraulic locks and visual aids, reducing the risk of load errors before transit.
Darren Holland, Sales Director at Tiger Trailers, said: “It’s been a pleasure working with The Delivery Group again. Developing these new trailers to match their evolving logistics needs has been fantastic, and the results look amazing.”
To ensure smooth operation, The Delivery Group opted for a five-year service and maintenance package backed by Tiger’s nationwide breakdown support.
