A spot of festive fun will be on the agenda for the hundreds of truckers who pull in at the award-winning Chippenham Pit Stop just off junction 17 of the M4 in Wiltshire during December.
For the past eleven months, the Pit Stop people have run a series of health campaigns focussing on diseases such as high blood pressure that can affect those who spend long hours behind the wheel.
All their team efforts, including low-fat meal options on their menus, have helped them win the accolade of setting the benchmark when it comes to the care of all the hard-working men and women who spend their lives on the road helping to keep the nation supplied.
But Pit Stop Director and Health Campaigns Co-Ordinator Lisa Hatherell said they had decided to lighten up and encourage all their trucker customers to join them in a spot of festive fun when out on the road in what was probably their busiest month of the year.
“We have posters up around the site inviting them to join us on Facebook and Instagram for some short daily videos showing us whipping up some festive treats, cooking our Xmas dinner and team members engaging in a little festive fun,” she said.
