Livestock nutrition company Harbro has invested in three Iveco trucks as it gives its fleet a bit of a refresh.
Arriving are a 6×2 rigid drawbar unit and two new Iveco S-Way 6×2 mid-lift tractors.
The S-Way 6×2 6.7m chassis (AS260S42Y/PS) is fitted with a 7.9m curtain sided body.
In addition, it is powered by a Cursor 11 420hp diesel engine and tows a three-axle curtain sided trailer.
For improved access to farms in Scotland specifically, the unit has been fitted with a VBG coupling.
The S-Way drawbar unit will cover around 120,000km a year and offers a payload of 28 tonnes.
Harbro’s head of logistics Billy McTavish was delighted with his new Iveco trucks.
“The new S-Way represents a major step-change for the brand,” he said.
“Also, drivers love the cabin, which is spacious and very comfortable.
“They are spending five days and four nights in their truck each week so it’s important that they have all the home comforts.”
Continuing, McTavish said the drawbar unit brings another dimension to the Harbro fleet.
In addition, more Iveco trucks have arrived in the form of two 6×2 S-Way mid-lift tractor units.
Each vehicle is powered by a Cursor 13 570hp diesel engine and boasts air suspension, for improved driver comfort.
One truck tows a three-axle-bulk blower trailer with electric rear wheel steer.
However, the other one, which is fresh out of the paint shop, will tow a three-axle tipper or curtainsided trailer.
As with all new Iveco trucks joining the Harbro fleet each is specified with a range of special features.
For example, the new additions all feature leather upholstery, alloy wheels, air horns and LED light bars.
Both Iveco S-Ways have been supplied on a three-year full R&M contract by AM Phillip Trucktech in Forfar.
